Many of you have been asking how do I look after my skin on flights and what are the most essential items to take with you in the cabin? Through my years of travelling around the world I have developed my own essential list of items that I cannot board a flight without.
After years of long-haul flights, looking after my skin, wellbeing and comfort have become extremely important to me. Inside my carry-on bag you will always find the following essential items:
Elemis Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment - A miracle in a bottle! I will apply this several times during a flight just to keep those dehydration lines at bay!
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex - The skin under my eyes gets extremely parched during a flight and post sun exposure so I have to layer this onto of of my Elemis eye treatment.
Blistex daily conditioner Lip balm - This is the only lip balm that I will ever use.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - I've been using this for over 10 years and honestly cannot live without this product. It sinks straight into my skin without overloading my acne prone skin.
Elemis Pro -Collagen Marine Cream - I never used to wear face moisturiser until I discovered the Elemis brand, it sinks straight into the skin and the smell is not overpowering like some other brands.
Elemis Frangipani Hand Cream - This is by far my favourite hand cream but sadly it has now been discontinued so once I run out I need to find a replacement!
Flight socks
Loose black t-shirt and leggings - Black hides those tell tell inflight spillage's
Tooth brush & tooth paste
Ear plugs - Mack's are my favourite as I find them extremely soft and comfortable
Contoured eye mask - One of the best purchases I've ever made. No more squashed eyelashes!
Neck pillow
Hand sanitiser
Simple face wipes
Tissues
Hairbands
Sunglasses
Cap - For taming the mane post-flight
Scarf - Some internal flights can get really chilly!
Flip flops - Having these make a quick trip to the bathroom much easier than trying to shove my swollen feet back into my trainers!
My medical kit is essential for every trip, long or short! I know I might be stating the obvious but you would be surprised how often I used to travel without one until the unfortunate happened and I was hit with a hefty bill just to buy some simple medication. Below is just an example of what I pack but please seek medical advice from your GP whenever travelling abroad.
Swimeaze - (Scuba Diver Essential)
Ear Calm Spray - (Scuba Diver Essential)
Congestion Relief Tablets - (Scuba Diver Essential)
Pain relief tablets
Allergy relief tablets
Sting/bite cream
Reenie
Berocca/Vitamin C
Constipation relief
Imodium - I will never travel without this again! I got overconfident on my last trip and did not bother to pack any, as I have never needed to use them in all my years of travelling, however, that was a huge mistake as I got hit, hit BAD!
Dioralyte
Plasters
Tweezers
Nail file and clippers
The items mentioned in this post are my personal favourites and not part of paid promotion. I am not a medical expert and this content is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, therefore please always speak to your GP before travelling.
